NetSniffer is an interesting tool when setting up a home network, for instance to test whether a certain PC really receives and transmits data. Moreover NetSniffer allows anyone even to check what data will ship the PCs connected at all. PCs that undesirable to pass data over the LAN, can thus be easily tracked. NetSniffer is able to network packets already at the lowest level, the Ethernet layer to intercept. In addition to the packet data in plain text, among others, sender and recipient addresses, as well as the type of protocol used in the package are displayed.
